Margo
Hoagland is a USEF “r” dressage judge and
USDF Bronze and Silver medalist. She attended Sonoma
State University earning a B.A. degree in Biology. |
With
her husband, Vincent, 3 dogs, 2 cats, sheep, and several
horses she lives on a 12 + acre ranch in Sonoma County,
California.  |
Margo has had a life long love of horses. She started
riding at the age of 10. She worked as a hot walker
at the Polo Field in San Francisco for several years
until she got her first horse at age 15. Margo has
shown both English and western as well as hunters.
At the tender age of 32 she had her first dressage
lesson with J. Ashton Moore and fell in love with dressage.
After only one lesson she sold all her western equipment
and has never looked back. |
Margo
was privileged to live and ride for nearly a year in
Germany during 2003 and 2004. There she was able to
ride several FEI level horses. She took lessons from
Eva Rainsborough as well as Dolf Keller and
Manuela Keller. She found her current partner, Lemon
25, during her stay in Germany and competed successfully
with him at M level there. |
In
2005 she and her horse Lemon 25 placed 8th in the Open
Division USDF Intermediate-1. They also won the Vintage
Cup Championship and American Trakehner Assn. Championship
at that same level. She has trained a number of horses
to 4th level and Prix St. George. Her horses have won
year end awards both at the CDS Annual Show and many
USDF breed awards from first level to Prix St. George. |
